1950s—End of an Era

  • 1950's

    O.C. White becomes the dominant producer of OEM Machine lighting for American machine builders. Partnering with companies such as New Britain Machine, Cincinnati Machine, Bryant, and many other manufacturers, O.C. White helps them develop products that solve their different industry challenges. O.C. White arm assemblies are produced in mass quantity for other manufacturers’ own lines of fixtures.

  • 1956

    The company introduced its illuminated magnifiers. Working with RCA, we develop an adjustable broadcast arm that becomes an industry standard.

  • 1957

    O.C. White Jr. dies at the age of 83.
